Road Trip!

Moose and I piled into my trusty Toyota and drove to Poneto, IN. My BFF, Kristy was up from Florida visiting her parents with her 2 boys. I thought it would be a pretty good drive.... 9 hrs. So off we went. We were doing pretty well until we hit 10 miles outside of Columbus, Ohio. They shut down the hwy going both directions during rush hr. I sat on a two lane I70 for 2 hrs before I went 4 miles to the next exit where the were detouring all traffic 10 blocks down. Poor moose was so hot.... I brought him into the cab but only the front seat was available, and his fat butt wouldn't fit. The poor guy had his front legs on the floor and his neck in a very uncomfortable angle but we didn't have any other options. After 12 hrs on the road we made it! Sammy and Buddy were there to greet him at Kristy parents farm, and all was forgotten. They had a man made pond that he swam around in, I had trouble getting him out. It was really funny when I went in with him and he was constantly coming into save me. Thanks Linda and Ken for taking care of him while Kristy and I were workin the streets ;)
This trip ended up being an antiquing trip, building my photography prop supply and then we photographed the boys of course. Those will come laters.... Kristy and I had a great time scouring GW, garage sales, and a flea market. I picked up some really cool stuff.... u will see them pop up in future pics to come. And kristy really built her hooter collection... I miss Cleo! Plus always a cool bonus to see that Amish horse drawn buggies.... this one was tied up so I took a shot, I don't like to photograph them.... like a a wierd tourist. But when we were shoppin we werent hanging out at the farm. They live on a beautiful 80 acre corn field farm. Kristy thinks she got chiggers from the corn field... dirty girl!

Hanging out on the porch on a mild summer day... shootin the breeze with Kristy's fam... her brother came by with a mini-moose. I almost went and got another puppy cuz her was just like moosie and so so cute! But like I need another dog right now!

We were gonna go to a tractor pull that Ken was entered into but the rain delayed it and I had to leave the next day..... big bummer! Ken rebuilds old custom Farmalls, Kristy use to compete also when she was in HS. It was fun watching drive around and they let me try also.

I had an absolute blast and truely wished we lived closer to each other.... right now we are crossing our fingers for Ft. Knox this fall for their PCS. That would bring us a little closer and we will end up in that much more trouble!

Kristy... my kindred spirit. My tat sista... I luv u tons and miss u already!

Three Little Girlees

Hey Hey Hey.... I went to St. Louis this weekend to a photography workshop with my most favorite photographer..... I think I had stars in my eyes all weekend. I totally have a girl crush on Michelle who is Untamed HeArt in MO. It was 100+ degrees with 100% humidity... well I guess its better than ran. But OMG it was hot! The models were sweating I was soaked and the energy was sucked out of all of us. I was so wiped out by the time I came home. I will post the images in a week or so of the workshop. But on top of that I got to see Shannon, Meadow, Sienna, and Aria. We took total advantage of my trip! I have a few posted on my website blog.... come and see. http://www.magnoliastreetphoto.blogspot.com/ Shannon and I dragged those little girls around in that heat all day until I had to leave.... oh boy what a day! Thank you Shan for all ur support.... hope u like them!

Great Falls

A day early Skye and I strapped on our Keens and took a trip to Great Falls for some traversing or scrambling. Which is hiking along vertical rocks without ropes. It was a beautiful place with a rushing Potomac because its rained so much lately. We had a fun time, probably do it again sometime.

Girlie Friends....

These are my MD buddies... or as I like to call them My HoOcHes. These 4 women are the ones I spend all my spare time with. I have been truly blessed with the friends that I have met out here. I just wanted everyone to meet them too.

This is Sarah... I have referred to her many times and love her to death. Sarah lives across the street, and it seems we have too much in common. From dogs to photography to our Twilight obsession. This nite we were out and witnessed the drunkest girl ever, with too short of a dress and well if you want to hear the funny story you will need to email me..... its a good one.

Dawn.... I met Dawn cuz she's my realtor. Thanks Melody for finding her for me. Dawn and I hit it off from the beginning. She is a dog lover also, and loves the outdoors, one day we might get invited to her cabin in WV. (just checking if ur reading my blog Dawn)

Oh and Skye... from the moment she opened her big sarcastic mouth, I knew we'd get along just fine. Skye is in my photography class in WSP. Her hubby, Shannon, is in Afghanistan and I would love for you to say a prayer for him. He is just over half way through his tour and will be home hopefully by Thanksgiving. And Sherry, the biggest hooch of them all. Just kidding. Im sure u might recognize her from all the family pics Ive been taking of her two beautiful little girls. This is us at the GDIT ball, all dressed up but u wouldn't know it by Ryans photographer skills. (see my vintage earrings) Sherry has been truly supportive of my photography and a ton of fun to antique with.

Lighting Class

One of my final courses in a studio lighting class. It was a commercial product type class that wasn't too exciting but I had a really great group of girls to work with.... Skye, Melissa, and Tanya. We almost had too much fun some nights. We had different items first glass, then metal and then we had a ad template.

You can read the advertisement and see if you get where we were going with it. I was modeling the shoes at one point in an awkward position. We were laughing through it all, it was a fun night!

Melissa's layout... she is awesome with colors and glass.

This was kinda my vision, but everyone tweaked it to add there ideas also .....
does anyone get it?
