Practice Practice Practice

So I havent had much practice with little guys... especially the toddler age. Where the last thing they want to do is hold still so you can focus. My neighbor, Makayla and I have been trying to get together for awhile to shoot her cute kids. Landon, almost 2 and Colin 6. Between the weather and our schedules we just havent had time till yesterday. We didn't do too much, so I will be trying again soon! But here are some of my attempts of capturing a really quick cutie pie.

We had a little peacock thing going on with all the static electricity we have over here...

Tuesday... Design

This week was a boring assignment.... To design a photograph. Basically to be aware of why do shooting what ur shooting. I have to explain my train of thought when I frame and expose the image... depth of field, main focus...blah blah blah. I went to Harpers Ferry for most of the images. I seem to find myself in graveyards most of the time. Great tonal range usually. And then the dock shot is Baltimore... I also adventured out to Ellicott City. Cute town and I made Sarah pose for me in another doorway.

Im in the process of building my website and I sending off for my first business cards. Slowly but surely Im getting there!

Here comes the Bride....

What troopers my friends are. And I have to give a huge shout out to Tristan.... If you were ever in the military you would know why. Nothing worse than putting on ur blues. I must be pretty special for him to do this for me. Tear! Although I think that he was having fun, I wish all grooms were like that. He started posing it up at the end and really getting into the sappy stuff.... I ate it up and so did his wife! But geez can u believe Kristy got dressed in the backseat and pinned her hair up in the window reflection. She looks pretty darn amazing! Thanks again guys, it was a blast!

Tuesday... Macro

Is it Tuesday already? My week flew bye but my homework assignment was done really quickly... Macro. Macro is a type of photography using a lens that enables me to focus really close up on my subject. Like when you see a bug on a flower. Well its the wrong time of year for that so I choose to play with all the little antiques I have around the house. This is my favorite type of photography, some people have hard time getting close. I have a hard time pulling away. I have an eye for details, probably my signature style. If I had to pick one.
This was a large assignment... 20 images. So prepare for picture overload. My favorite are the first two.
